Operational benefits

Scoop5 S-IP is a N/ACIP compatible rackmount codec for audio links via IP, designed specifically for broadcasters (for e.g. STL applications) or others who wish to perform live audio transmission over IP.

Scoop5 S-IP is N/ACIP compatible and can be configured and controlled easily via its internal website. A large selection of algorithms is available,  including G722, MPEG Layer II, AAC and OPUS. 

 One great advantage of Scoop5 S-IP is its packet duplication algorithm, which prevents audio cuts.

"Direct RTP" mode allows you to setup an audio call over an IP network without using the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). Please download this application note to see how to operate the codecs using the "Direct RTP" mode.

Ability to setup an audio call over an IP network in “Multicast” mode. The “Multicast” feature is available in the “Setup / Network / AoIP Parameters” menu from the front panel or in the “AoIP” page of the web interface.


You can control Scoop5 S-IP via its dedicated web page. The product is detected by its MAC address when connected.

It is also possible to control Scoop5 S-IP via a codec management software, such as Scoop Manager, edited by AETA Audio Systems.



Remote access : Access and control via Internet - Optional

With the new AETA Remote Access feature, you can now control all the parameters of your codecs remotely and in real time via the Internet, including 4G mobile networks.

WARNING: To get this new feature, it is necessary to install a recent version of the software (V1.09 minimum), and to subscribe to the Remote Access option. (for further informations, please contact us or your local distributor)

Double mono codec option

With the double mono codec option, Scoop5 S-IP now have the ability to function as two mono AoIP codecs, each with its own SIP registration.
