Improvements :

  • When importing a configuration file, the login password is not affected (previously, the password possibly included in the configuration file was also imported).

Fixed issues :

  • Fixed various malfunctions in the handling of presets (create/update/load), in some cases imposing to reboot the unit.

Important notice: if a password is set for accessing the html pages, you MUST reset it to a blank value (refer to page Maintenance/Login data), BEFORE performing this firmware update.
Once the update is completed, you can later set a password again.

Version 1.05

Version 1.05

Released 2016/02/22            Click here to download the update file

Improvements :

  • For mobile IP data, improved handling of data connection issues (failure to establish a connection, unexpected data disconnection, connection retry process).
  • Improved stability of the starting process when there is no IP network connectivity
  • On html page, parameters related to mobile data (data activation, APN, network quality..) are now accessible even if the current mobile mode is "Voice"

Fixed issues :

  • Low resilience to IP packet losses for G711, G722 and MPEG L2 : fixed.
  • Selection of IP or voice mode for mobile network in remote profiles.
  • In LL mode with MPEG L2, unreliable state for the relay outputs with “relay transmission” function when the connection starts up: fixed.
  • In LL mode with MPEG L2, optional FEC not actually applied.
Version 1.04.01

Version 1.04.01

Released 2015/08/05

Fixed issues :

  • Fixed a display problem met when the screen saver is in standby mode (on versions equipped with yellow OLED display).
Version 1.04

Version 1.04

Released 2015/03/02

New features :

  • Ethernet connection status is displayed on the main front panel screen
  • SIP registration status is displayed on main front panel screen
  • New handling of mobile data service: data on/off setting, with auto reconnection at startup if data is set on.
(Data off : avoids undesired data consumption, for instance if only HD voice is desired)
  • Support for the Hughes HNS9450 BGAN terminal

Improvements :

  • Improved jitter buffer handling: lower latency, better resilience to packet losses.
  • Status of mobile data connection displayed on html page.
  • Reduced latency for the relay transmission feature.

Fixed issues :

  • In multicast sending mode, a disconnection of the Ethernet interface could hang the unit, requiring a reboot. Fixed issue, now in such situation the unit comes back to idle mode.
The auto-redial feature can possibly restart the transmission.
  • Restored the operation of the additional Ethernet interface via a USB adapter (inoperative on versions 1.02 and 1.03).
  • Packet replication with BGAN transmission: issue fixed.
  • Display issues with high number of stored profiles (front panel and html pages): fixed.
  • Miscellaneous text amendments on html pages.
Version 1.03.01

Version 1.03.01

Released 2014/06/06

Fixed issues :

  • Fixed: at the beginning of a stereo link with an AAC coding, the encoder often swapped the left and right channels.
  • In some situations, with mobile voice transmission, the device could miss a network originated event. As a consequence, for instance, it could happen that after a remote release of a mobile voice call it was not possible to regain control on the line.

Version 1.03

Version 1.03

Released 2014/05/12

Improvements :

  • Reception buffer (IP mode): improved jitter tolerance.
  • Faster synchronization for G722 SRT (ISDN), even without an audio signal.
  • Relay state transmission : periodic refresh for higher resilience to packet losses.
  • Miscellaneous edits for texts in the menus and HTML pages.
  • New function in menu to clear the history of calls.
  • New function in menu to clear the history of coding configurations.
  • Added the "5AS" checkbox in the ISDN configuration menu.

Fixed issues :

  • Fixed: in IP mode, abnormal latency build-up when the link is highly disturbed by losses and excess jitter.
  • Fixed: in double ISDN codec mode, display of the remote number for the second incoming call.
  • Fixed: in the fields of an HTML page, entering special characters could lead to freezing the page.
  • Fixed: failure of the relay transmission function, sometimes met in the LL mode.
  • Fixed: repeated calls to a wrong ISDN number could lock the unit.
  • Fixed: test loops that are not available for the current network interface are no more proposed in the menu.

Version 1.02.01

Version 1.02.01

Released 2013/12/02
Various fixes and improvements.

Improvements :

  • During a connection with relay transmission, ability to show on the LCD the current state of the info transmitted by the Scoop 5.
  • When receiving a mono encoded program via IP or ISDN, the signal is reproduced on both left and right outputs.

Fixed issues :

  • Fixed: auto redial after restart while the call has been previously released on purpose.
  • Fixed: auto redial on codec 2 (double ISDN codec mode) not working after a reboot.
  • Fixed: missing information on the radio access technology (2G/3G), when using some types of SIM cards.

Version 1.02

Version 1.02

Released 2013/10/08

Improvements :

  • Settings added on html interface: IP Network Quality, TOS, Ethernet link mode, MAC address.
  • Settings added on front panel interface: SIP port and SIP display name.
  • Pop-up messages are removed automatically from the LCD after a few seconds.
  • More flexibility for "network quality" settings, with the addition of settings with a bigger jitter buffer (suitable for very poor network conditions, 3G/4G networks...).
  • Unit beeps when starting up and when receiving a call.
Note: only for recent Scoop 5 units. Otherwise a hardware upgrade is needed.
